Origin of the Curse: The Cursed Potion War
The four event phases, safe Outskirts vs the Cursed Land core, exact Potion returns for every resource, how to stack passive income, a 30-minute plan, and rewards.

The objective#
An earthquake has torn open the Cursed Land, releasing immense corruption. Your goal is to gather as many Cursed Potions as possible. Cursed Potions are the only source of Event Points, and Event Points unlock Event Chests.
Each Contest round lasts 30 minutes, and each round’s ranking counts only the Potions earned in that round. Your highest placement across all rounds determines your final rewards — so a weak round won’t hurt you.
When it happens: the four phases#
| Phase | When | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Preview | Tuesday–Friday | Reveals the first earthquake location and which Warzones are contested. |
| 2. Contest | 30 minutes per round | Gather, defend, and plunder to collect Cursed Potions. Each round’s ranking counts only that round’s points. |
| 3. Preparation | Between Contest rounds | Reveals the next earthquake location and the Warzones competing for it. |
| 4. Results | After all Contest rounds end | Settles final personal and alliance ranking rewards. |
Contest and Preparation alternate until the last round. The event does not open during Kingdom War.
Where to play: Outskirts vs Cursed Land#
The map has a safe outer ring and a dangerous core.
| Outskirts (safe zone) | Cursed Land (core) | |
|---|---|---|
| Shields | Work normally | Your base can be attacked by other Doctors |
| Getting there | You’re already there | Relocate in from outside — no relocation item needed |
| Base income | — | 40 Potions/sec just for having your base there |
| Best for | Steady, lower-risk gathering | Highest yields and passive income |
Resource points increase in level toward the center — the closer to the core, the higher the yield and reward.
Resource returns#
Three resource types can be gathered. The two advanced ones also give territory yield — once you bring them back to your territory, they keep generating Potions every second.
| Resource | Tier | While gathering | On completion | Territory yield once returned |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Healing Kit | Basic | 40/sec | +300 | — |
| Ancient Beast Bone | Advanced | 80/sec | +1,500 | +30/sec per returned Bone |
| Runic Idol | Advanced | 160/sec | +6,000 | +120/sec per returned Idol |
Why Idols matter most: a Runic Idol gathers four times as fast as a Healing Kit, pays 20 times the completion bonus, and then keeps paying 120/sec for the rest of the round once it’s home.
Stacking passive income#
Passive income adds up. Example:
- Base in the Cursed Land: 40/sec
- One returned Runic Idol: +120/sec
- Total: 160 Cursed Potions/sec — before any active gathering.
Over a full 30-minute round (1,800 seconds), 160/sec works out to 288,000 Potions without sending a single extra march. Every additional returned Bone or Idol adds more.
The 30-minute plan#
- Gather safely from the start. Turn on your shield and gather Cursed Potions in the Outskirts to lock in rewards with little risk.
- Set your defense before entering the core. Other Doctors may try to sneak-attack you for your Cursed Potions — establish a defense lineup first.
- Watch the 10-minute mark. Combat may intensify around minute 10. Keep relocation items ready and avoid being caught off guard.
- High-tier strategy: stronger Doctors can gather and scout for about 15 minutes, then target players holding significant Cursed Potions for faster gains.
- Coordinate with allies. Alliance leaders should reach out to nearby alliances to reduce unnecessary conflict and keep gathering efficient.
Rewards#
| Reward | Based on | Core rewards |
|---|---|---|
| Event Chests | Your Event Points | Fame Medals, Raven Essence, Diamonds, Herbs |
| Personal Ranking | Your best ranking across all rounds | Alliance Coins, Study Scrolls |
| Alliance Ranking | The alliance’s best ranking across all rounds — every member receives them | Curio Chest (UR), UR Hero Omni Shards, Fame Medals |
Important notes#
- Rankings are settled on your best placement. A weak round won’t hurt you, so it’s fine to play safe in one round and push in another.
- If you switch alliances, only the Event Points earned after joining the new alliance count toward that alliance’s total.
Quick checklist#
- Check the Preview (Tue–Fri) for the earthquake location and Warzones.
- Gather in the Outskirts with a shield for safe points.
- Set a defense lineup before relocating into the Cursed Land.
- Prioritize Runic Idols and bring them home for passive income.
- Have relocation items ready by minute 10.
- Remember: your best round counts.
