Undead Siege: How to Play & Win

Survive 20 waves of Blights from the Death Prison: how the event starts, prep, how the battle runs, scoring checkpoints, difficulty choice, reinforcement pairing, and fast clue farming.

Undead Siege alliance guide: how to play and win
Fight smart. Reinforce each other. Survive all 20 waves.

Undead Siege is an alliance defense event. The Death Prison sends 20 waves of Blights against our members’ Sanctuaries, and every member defends their own city. The more waves we survive together, the better the alliance rewards — so participation matters just as much as strength.

What it is#

  • An alliance defense event against 20 waves of Blights.
  • R4/R5 starts it after the alliance has gathered enough Falcon Quest clues (see clue farming below).
  • Once started, the Death Prison appears and attacks member Sanctuaries.

Before it starts#

You get about 180 seconds of prep time after the event is triggered. Use it:

  • Put your strongest squad in Garrison / Walls. This is what defends your city.
  • Send or request reinforcements before the timer ends.
  • Remember: shields do NOT stop Undead Siege attacks. Your wall defenders are your only protection — if you pulled them off the wall for safety, put them back.
  • Members usually need 48+ hours in the alliance to receive rewards. New members can still help, but may not be paid out.
Restore your wall
If you normally leave your wall empty to limit losses from raids, restore defenders before Undead Siege. See The Empty Wall Paradox.

How the battle works#

  • The 20 waves attack automatically. You don’t need to send marches at the Blights — your garrison fights them.
  • If your Sanctuary loses a wave, your city stops being attacked for the rest of the run. You’re out, and you stop adding waves to the alliance total.
  • Strong members should reinforce weaker members so they survive more waves.
  • A run goes on a 48-hour cooldown after completion.

Rewards and scoring#

There are two reward tracks:

Personal rewards are based on the waves you survived. Checkpoints are at waves 1, 4, 8, 10, 13, 16, and 20.

Alliance rewards are based on the total waves survived by everyone added together. The Stage 10 max alliance goal is 1,200 total waves.

The main prize is huge amounts of Antitoxin, which is what you level heroes with.

Why participation matters: the alliance score is a sum of everyone’s waves. Twenty members each surviving 15 waves (300 total) beats ten members surviving all 20 (200 total). Keeping more members alive for longer is how the alliance total grows.

BF2 best strategy#

  • Pick the highest difficulty MOST active members can survive.
  • Do NOT choose difficulty based only on the strongest players. If the difficulty knocks out half the alliance early, the total waves collapse.
  • Pair stronger players with weaker members for reinforcements, so weaker members last longer.
  • Participation matters — more members alive means better alliance rewards.

Fast clue farming#

The event can’t start until enough Falcon Quest clues are collected. Not all sources are equal:

SourceClues
Rebels300 each
Blight Legion300 each
Wandering Blight300 each
Many routine tasks10 each

One Rebel or Blight kill is worth 30 routine tasks. Focus clue farming on those three targets.

Quick checklist#

  • Farm clues from Rebels, Blight Legion, and Wandering Blight.
  • When the event triggers, use the ~180 seconds: strongest squad on the wall, reinforcements sent.
  • Don’t count on a shield — it won’t help.
  • Stronger members: reinforce your assigned partner.
  • Stay alive as long as you can — every wave counts toward the alliance total.
Verify before starting
Stage requirements can vary by Sanctuary level and Might. Always verify the difficulty screen in-game before starting.
Win as a team
The goal is not just a few strong players surviving — the goal is keeping as many BF2 members alive as possible.
